I attend a university where there is a college of pharmacy. I have several friends who have decided to make this their life's ambition. So occasionally we discuss issues related to medicine...I tend to differ on opinion in regards to them on this subject.
In my opinion we need universal health care. Every American deserves and has the fundamental right to receive medicines and medical treatment. Why should nearly 50 million people not have access to this nation's resources...why should 10 million of that number be children?
In truth it sickens me to discuss this. But I did. I found that my pharmacy friends are largely opposed to universal health care...why? Because in nations where this type of policy already exists the pharmacists do not make 6 figures a year, it is more like $50,000 a year. Mind you this number is the STARTING salary! These opinions come from people who will be practicing in the field in less than a year. People would rather continue to make loads of money than save others lives....people in the medical field even. It bothers me.
It bothers me that our government continues to allow people to die. It continues to drag its ever indebted feet in the arena of policy making. I am sick of the same old same old. I am tired of our leadership...not leading.
But more than all of that...I am sick and tired of the American people. When did it become okay for us to not care about each other. When did it become necessary for CEO's and upper management and professional athletes and our professional degree holders to be so money hungry that we destroy not only our country but our nation and its people.

That worked out well...
I've decided to take a different approach to this...actually using it.
I graduated Feb. 25th...it was a glorious day that had no pomp and circumstance. My wife (Jamie) was in Estonia and I was in fantastic middle of nowhere Ohio all alone. Since that time I have spent my days thinking and being largely unemployed. I have applied to a million different stores but much to my dismay no one has called back. If there is still doubt about the current state of the economy...I will gladly clear it up...for a fee.

My first time....
So....
I'll start by telling you a little about me. I'm 21, I was married to my beautiful wife in March and I am now in the process of applying to law school.
I'm a political science major with a minor in criminal justice. After law school I want to be a prosecutor or work in criminal defense - I love the courtroom.
I plan to update at least weekly. It's my final quarter of undergrad...so times are a little busy. I really want to just talk about what it is like to be married...to be young...and to be in school.
